The last time the Pelicans had the No. 1 overall pick prior to this season, they selected Anthony Davis in 2012. Davis, though, didn't win the 2013 Rookie of the Year award. That honor went to Portland Trail Blazers point guard Damian Lillard.

The Pelicans are ready to hand over the keys to the franchise to Williamson now that Davis is in Los Angeles. Luckily for Zion, he has a great group of players around him, headlined by Jrue Holiday, Ball, Brandon Ingram and Josh Hart. Pelicans head coach Alvin Gentry is going to have a lot of fun in 2019-20 coaching this team.
