Right after Derrick Rose and two of his friends had sexual intercourse with the former MVP's ex-girlfriend, he already had an idea what she will claim.
As he predicted, he is now facing rape charges and had just finished testifying in the $21.5 million lawsuit.
The New York Knicks point guard said the woman planned it all along and set him up.
“It looked like a setup. It turned out to be what I thought.”
The alleged victim claims that Rose and his friends took advantage of her being incapacitated from drinking tequila and other alcoholic beverages and never consented to the act. Rose, on the other hand, assumed consent as the unnamed woman apparently sent her a text message with sexual overtures the morning of the said incident. The Memphis product also added that she agreed to all the previous times they had sex over a period of 18-20 months.
According to Rose, even if they've ended their relationship months before the incident, conversations through text messages between them were ongoing and he interpreted her suggestive texts as consent.

“No is no. I'm never going to force myself upon anyone. When she sent me texts like that 99% of the time it ended up in sex, so what do you expect?”
Part of the evidences were three text messages sent by the woman to show if there were suggestive words in it or not.
As it stands, there's still no clear direction on how the case will pan out. Rose confirmed that he has permission from team president Phil Jackson to miss the next three preseason games of the Knicks, but he did not discuss whether or not he'll be excused should he need to appear in court during the upcoming season.
The New York faithful are hoping that this does not serve as a distraction for their new point guard's play this year as they have huge expectations for their team after adding key pieces to their roster.
