The New York Knicks suffered another blowout loss on Sunday, as they were demolished by the Los Angeles Clippers, 128-107.
Knicks head coach David Fizdale was understandably disappointed about the defeat, and he was not shy about calling out his own guys after another lackluster performance:
“They weren’t ready to play,” Fizdale said, per Marc Berman of the New York Post, adding his players looked like they “were in mud.’’
It was an early tip-off for the Knicks in this one, as they started things off at 12:30 pm local time against the visiting Clippers. Fizdale questioned whether his team was able to get enough rest the previous night, as they appeared to be lethargic throughout the contest:

Fizdale wasn't done. His tirade went on as he continued to point out how disappointed he was with his team's lack of fight against LA:
“There was no urgency, no legs,’’ Fizdale said. “Obviously that wasn’t the game plan to let them shoot open 3s. Our heads were in the clouds.
“It was a total lack of competitive preparation. We weren’t ready to compete with this team the way we should’ve been. This team is fighting for their life — one of the hardest-working teams and have a lot to play for. We didn’t give this team their proper due and proper respect until the second half.”
Fizdale's message here is loud and clear. Hopefully, it resonates throughout the team, and the Knicks come out with a bit more energy and desire to win in their upcoming matches.
