Joakim Noah knows the New York Knicks are going to part ways with him, he just doesn't know when and it's starting to frustrate the veteran center.

Noah posted a picture on his Instagram story Friday expressing frustration with the Knicks, but quickly took it down.

Joakim Noah has two years and $38 million left on his deal. New York has been unable to find a trade partner for Noah, so the franchise will likely use the NBA’s waive-and-stretch provision.

Noah signed a four-year, $72 million free agent deal with the Knicks in 2016 after spending the first nine years of his career with the Chicago Bulls. The former Defensive Player of the Year got into a heated argument with ex-coach Jeff Hornacek last season, and that turned out to be the end of Noah’s brief and disappointing tenure with the Knicks.

In 46 games with the Knicks, Noah has averaged just 4.6 points and 7.9 rebounds per game. The two-time All-Star, who used to be one of the best centers in the game, hasn’t been the same player since undergoing a knee procedure in the summer of 2014 when he was still with the Bulls. Noah has also endured a shoulder injury which required surgery.

In February of 2017, the NBA suspended Noah 20 games for taking a banned substance. He was suspended for the first 12 games of the 2017-18 season. Noah, now 33, has career averages of 8.9 points and 9.3 rebounds in 625 NBA games with the Bulls and Knicks.

Once the Knicks do release Noah, it's unclear which teams will pursue him. Many assumed his old coach Tom Thibodeau would quickly pick him up since Thibodeau has rounded up a bunch of ex-Bulls in Minnesota. The Timberwolves, however, have no current plans to pursue Noah, according to Marc Stein of The New York Times.
