Julius Randle has been an inspiring figure for the New York Knicks this season. But he's yet to show up for his squad in the NBA playoffs.

The 2020-21 Most Improved Player is obviously struggling through three games against the Atlanta Hawks. The All-Star is averaging 14.7 points, 11.7 rebounds, and 3.3 rebounds on an absolutely brutal 24.1% shooting clip. Randle's poor shooting isn't just bad, it's actually been the worst rate in NBA playoff history through the first three games of the playoffs on high volume.

Julius Randle has been the heart and soul of the Knicks' resurgence this season. New York went as far as Randle could carry them. The Hawks clearly zoned in on stopping their talisman, and so far it's worked.

Instead, the Knicks have relied on a now-revitalized Derrick Rose. The former league MVP is posting numbers nearly reminiscent of his prime years, when he was leading the Chicago Bulls in the postseason. But his efforts alone aren't enough for New York while Randle stays dormant.

But it's only been three games of a best-of-seven series. Randle will have at least two games to turn this series around, both for his own individual performance and for the Knicks' chances at advancing into the second round.
