The New York Knicks are already beginning internal processes for hiring a new head coach.
Ian Begley of SNY.tv reported the Knicks have “intro interviews” with a host of candidates set up for next week. These conversations will essentially serve as a warmup for the formal interviews to follow.
The Knicks have some intro interviews with candidates scheduled for next week, per SNY sources. Initial conversations with those candidates will be brief and take place over video conference. They will be followed by longer, more formal interviews, likely also via videoconference

New York has assembled quite the list of candidates.
Begley reported Friday night Dallas Mavericks assistant Jamahl Mosely is expected to get an interview, joining a crowded field:

Interim head coach Mike Miller will also get an interview with the Knicks. Team president Leon Rose was thoroughly impressed by Miller in the brief time he spent around the coach this season (prior to the suspension of the year due to coronavirus), as SNY reported.
The Knicks are also said to have some interest in former Cleveland Cavaliers head coach and current Golden State Warriors assistant Mike Brown.
Stefan Bondy of the New York Daily News reported at the beginning of the month the job was Tom Thibodeau's to lose. But there is reason to believe, given the extensive candidate pool, New York is keeping an open mind.
Interim head coach Mike Miller also has a strong case, given he held a respectable 17-27 record after taking over for David Fizdale.
Regardless, the Knicks are moving forward as they look for a new captain of the ship.
