The 2017-18 NBA season for New York Knicks big man Kristaps Porzingis has officially come to an end after suffering a torn ACL last Tuesday. However, that will not stop “The Unicorn” from making his presence felt at the 2018 NBA All-Star Game in Los Angeles.

Porzingis is one of the most marketable young players in the league today. That said, he is taking advantage of it by handing over packages of his “Zing Bars” to both teams at this year's event, according to Marc Berman of the New York Post:

“I won’t be playing this year, but wanted to send a little ZING to my fellow All-Stars to let them know I will be there in spirit,” Porzingis said in a statement.

According to Zing Bar officials, Porzingis had planned to arrive in Los Angeles with a duffel bag filled with the “KP6 Porzingis Box’’ of nutritional bars created to commemorate his first All-Star appearance. Porzingis had planned to hand them out at practice to not just Team LeBron, but selectees from Team Curry, too.

Porzingis was originally slated to play on the same team as Cleveland Cavaliers forward LeBron James prior to his season-ending injury. However, that is not going to stop him from contributing to the team in any way he can, even if it is through a nutritious snack.

Porzingis is reportedly set to have surgery this coming Tuesday in what is expected to be a lengthy recovery process. That said, his star peers would be doing him a solid if they were to appear on camera chomping on a ZING Bar from time to time throughout the game.
