New York Knicks head coach David Fizdale will put second-year big man Mitchell Robinson back as the starting center for Tuesday's game against the Detroit Pistons, according to SNY's Ian Begley — following three straight losses and six in the last seven games.
Fizdale opted to insert Marcus Morris for Robinson, due to the latter's struggles, which has resulted in a boon for the former with 29- and 28-point nights, but provided little in terms of interior defense.
The hope is that the 7-foot-1 Robinson can battle against the 6-foot-10 Andre Drummond, who has destroyed opponents on the boards this season, recently amassing four consecutive 20-rebound performances.

Fizdale is hoping Robinson will be able to keep Drummond off the offensive glass, where he does most of his damage with five per game.
Fizdale is searching for answers after the Knicks' gambit of signing four power forwards in free agency has done little for his roster, other than give him massive headaches as to how to find playing time for all of his veteran players. Julius Randle is often playing out of position and outsized at center, while Morris' contributions only come at the detriment of other potential helpers in Bobby Portis and Taj Gibson.
Gibson logged 15 and 14 minutes in the first two regular-season games but saw his playing time plummet shortly after, careening on two DNP-coach's decision in recent games against the Boston Celtics and the Sacramento Kings.
