The Phoenix Suns have been coasting through the regular season, with and without their All-Star point guard Chris Paul. On Sunday night, the Suns traveled to Oklahoma City to face Paul's former team. Paul, who has always spoken kindly about his former team and the city, illustrated a truly kind gesture that Thunder fans will truly appreciate.
Chris Paul has continuously said his time in OKC was special and one of his favorite seasons.

Article Continues BelowPaul, the 17-year veteran, only played one season with the Thunder, back in 2019-2020. That was statistically the worst season of the future Hall of Famers career, when he posted 17.6 points and a career-low 6.7 assists per game. After that season, Paul joined the Phoenix Suns in free agency and since his arrival, the Suns have immediately become one of the best teams in the NBA.
Paul helped lead the Suns all the way to the NBA Finals last season. Ultimately, they fell in six games to the Milwaukee Bucks. Paul is still yet to capture the elusive NBA Championship, despite playing on a number of title contenders. He played the first six years of his career with the New Orleans Hornets.
Chris Paul then moved on to play in Los Angeles for the Clippers for the next six seasons. In both places, he could never get past the second round of the NBA playoffs. After spending two seasons in Houston, Paul joined the Thunder. He led the Hornets to a 44-28 record, but lost in the first round of the playoffs. However, he appears to still be a fan-favorite and if he wasn't before, might be after this gesture.
