One of the key blockbuster trades of the offseason came right before its end on Saturday morning's swap between the New York Knicks and the Oklahoma City Thunder. By acquiring a perennial scorer in Carmelo Anthony, the Thunder gave up sixth man Enes Kanter, one half of the ‘Stache Bros duo that was a hit with fans, and even more last season with Russell Westbrook's MVP campaign.
The other half, center Steven Adams, was asked about his feelings regarding the departure of his facial-hair-twirling brother.
“I mean he didn't die, mate,” said Adams with a smile. “Everyone's been coming at me like he passed away and if he did I'd be sad, but he just moved down the road. “I'll see him soon, in like three weeks, it's like out first game. I'm not gonna miss him, I'll see him in a few days.”

Adams and Kanter grew a bond (and a lot of major facial hair to go with it) during their time together in OKC, becoming one of the most endearing big men tandems in the league with their sense of humor and ability to put on a show.
The two will now playing in opposing conferences and likely only see each other twice a season, if possible — but good friends always keep in touch, no matter the circumstances. The new-look Thunder will open the season against the Knicks on Chesapeake Energy Arena on Oct. 19.
