After last playing back in December 23rd, Orlando Magic center Nikola Vucevic is almost fully recovered from his fractured left hand and is already eyeing their game on February 22 against the New York Knicks to make his return.

He confirmed the development himself, via Josh Robbins of the Orlando Sentinel, and also said that he'll remain in Orlando during the All-Star break to ramp up his activity before practicing with the team.

“I expect to be back against the Knicks, so I’ll stay in Orlando during the break and keep working on my game,” Vucevic said. “Then we’ll have two or three good practices before we play the Knicks, so I think it’ll be good for me to use that extra time to work more on my game.”

The 27-year-old USC product then added that he is focused on improving his conditioning further in order to become effective once again when he steps on the floor.

“I’m going to focus on making sure I keep working and make sure I’m in even better shape and even more ready to play when we play the Knicks.”

Vucevic's return will be a huge boost to the Magic, who have been struggling all season long, currently owning the third-worst record in the league today. However, they will have a better chance of stringing some wins together with the 7-foot center in their lineup, as he has the ability to control the paint with his scoring and rebounding.

In the 34 games where he's appeared in this season, Vucevic is averaging solid numbers of 17.4 points, 9.3 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 1.0 steals and 1.1 blocks in 29.9 minutes.
