The 7-foot big man's road to recovery was the inspiration for coming up with the nickname. He was drafted back in 2014 but was forced to miss the past two seasons due to a pair of foot injuries. Now that he's finally playing for the Sixers, he has embraced the “Trust the Process” battle cry, which he believes suits him perfectly after all that he's been through to get to this point.

Embiid has been impressive so far to start the season and has given the Philly faithful a lot be optimistic about. He's been averaging 17.0 points and 4.5 rebounds in only 19 minutes per game. But most importantly, he has endeared himself to the fans and is becoming one of the team's crowd favorites.
