Philadelphia 76ers center Andre Drummond knows a thing or two about Detroit Pistons fans. So when the Sixers rolled into town Friday night, the former All-Star wasn't surprised by the jeers from a crowd that used to be on his side.

For Drummond, it's all part of the game, per Ky Carlin of the Sixers Wire.

“At the end of the day, it's basketball. They're sports fans here. They're not gonna cheer for the opposing team. No love lost here. I still love Detroit. At the end of the day, I'm still gonna talk positively about the city. It doesn't affect me in any way. It's a basketball game.”

Detroit was home to Andre Drummond for a little over eight years. He had the best stretches of his career—tallying 20-20 games numerous times–while wearing the Pistons' white and blue. But as the game evolved, Drummond's style of play became less relevant.

Since leaving the Pistons, he's been to three different teams in two years. Now, the former lottery pick is playing backup minutes behind former arch-rival Joel Embiid.

It's safe to say fans are no longer going to see the Andre Drummond of old who feasted inside the paint on a nightly basis. He's out to settle in a new home with hopes of experiencing the level of team success he couldn't achieve in Detroit.

He'll have his shining moments this season, though. The stakes are high for the Sixers so they might give Embiid a breather in a few games. When that happens, Drummond's presence will be felt even more.
