Philadelphia 76ers head coach Brett Brown has downplayed the impact Ben Simmons' $20,000 fine — and of course, all the backlash that goes with it — will have on both the reigning Rookie of the Year and the rest of the team.

Brown was obviously backing his star in this issue, and stated that like Simmons, he too believes that it is time to move on from this issue.

“It's part of the NBA, physicality and heightened emotions,” Brown said, via ESPN's Dave McMenamin. “And I think Ben said it best where he said he just wants to move forward and play Game 4. It's stuff where we talked a lot about it with my team before the playoffs began — how things can go south with things of that sort.”

“So, that's always on my mind as a coach to share those stories and remind them, but I think by and large, it's part of the NBA landscape, and as Ben said, we'll move forward and play Game 4,” Brown said.

Simmons got his with a hefty fine for elbowing Toronto Raptors point guard Kyle Lowry in the groin in Game 3. The referees missed out on the dirty play during the game, but the 22-year-old would not escape the league's review committee as we was hit with a post-game flagrant foul for his antics.

Simmons and company lead the series 2-1 entering Sunday night's Game 4 matchup. The contest will be held in Philadelphia's home floor, and the Sixers are in a great position to take a commanding 3-1 lead in the series.
