The Philadelphia 76ers have dug themselves into a hole in the Eastern Conference Semifinal Round versus the Boston Celtics. However, head coach Brett Brown is still as optimistic as ever.

Despite their recent struggles, there is no denying that Philadelphia is one of the most promising, young groups in the league. According to Mark D'Amico of the team's official website, Brown feels that Sixers currently boast the best starting lineup in the league:

Brett Brown just said that the 76ers have “the best starting five in the league.”

It goes without saying that Browns comments might be a bit far-fetched as that team over in the Bay Area might have something to say about it. However, he is likely just reinforcing the belief he has in his starting five.

The Sixers have battled hard this series but just cannot seem to close out games the Celtics have thus far. As a result, they now find themselves down 2-0 heading back to Philadelphia.

Although Philadelphia does not have the best starting five in the NBA, they still boast one of the more formidable lineups in the league. Of course, it is headlined by the dynamic duo of center Joel Embiid and point guard Ben Simmons. Meanwhile, shooting guard J.J. Redick is as deadly a shooter as one can find in the league.

Not to mention having small forward Robert Covington and power forward Dario Saric round out the frontcourt gives Brown plenty of reason to be optimistic. However, if the Sixers are unable to make this a series then they will undoubtedly need to go back to the drawing board for next year.
