Whatever Dwight Howard has done to the referees across the NBA, he's sincerely sorry. The Sixers big man has been a victim for most of this season, currently leading the league with 16 technical fouls.
Howard isn't sure why the refs are so against him, but he offered a hilarious message to them in the hope of turning the tables, per Dime:
“If there's any refs listening, I love you, I apologize for whatever it was, let's hug, lets medidate.”
Here's the full video as well from the interview. You can find the apology around the 2:00 mark:

Howard went on to discuss how the Sixers are gunning for a championship this year and his gritty style of play has been misconstrued at times, with referees catching the tail-end of a play where he's shoving a guy or just simply being physical.

But, in the apology, the Sixers veteran did seem like he was joking around with the apology, which could potentially rub the refs the wrong way if they do see it.
Nevertheless, Howard and the 76ers are shaping up to be one of the favorites coming out of the East. The team is currently 40-21 which leaves them just a game behind the Nets for top spot in the conference. The big three of Joel Embiid, Ben Simmons, and Tobias Harris are back healthy and led Philly to a big 31-point win over the Thunder last night, ending their four-game losing skid.
Hopefully, Howard's apology will help him kill the bad blood with the officials moving forward as the playoffs near.
