Groin injuries are really tricky to deal with. They can flare up at any moment. The Sixers would be wise to play it safe with Jimmy Butler, who has a history of lower-body injuries.

The Sixers are 10-3 since acquiring Butler from the Minnesota Timberwolves. The 29-year-old swingman is averaging 19.8 points, 5.2 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game with Philadelphia and shooting 48.7 percent from the field, 41.9 percent from beyond the arc and 88.3 percent from the free-throw line. Butler has also hit two game-winners as well, one against the Charlotte Hornets and the other versus the Brooklyn Nets.

The Sixers are 19-9 on the season, which is good for third place in the Eastern Conference. The arrival of Jimmy Butler has propelled the team to new heights, which makes this injury news tough to swallow, but the good news is that it doesn't appear he will be out for too long.
