In Tuesday's game against the L.A. Clippers, Philadelphia 76ers teammates Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons simultaneously went for the rebound and collided with one another. It didn't look too serious at first. But the fact that the Sixers called a timeout signified that Embiid had to shake the cobwebs off after the collision.

Replay showed that Marcin Gortat may have pushed Joel Embiid a bit which caused the big man to lurch towards Ben Simmons. Perhaps it was the main reason why Embiid was pissed as he headed to the bench.
It was Embiid's first game after missing their duel on Sunday against the Portland Trail Blazers due to the knee ailment. The Sixers' staff, however, said that it wasn't a serious case. To recall, Embiid missed the first two seasons of his NBA career due to various injuries. He also underwent arthroscopic surgery on his left knee in 2017 to repair a meniscus tear in his left knee.
In 35 games this season, Joel Embiid is averaging 26.5 points, 13.3 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game while shooting 48.4 percent from the field, 28.5 percent from beyond the arc, and 80.1 percent from the free-throw line. The Sixers are 22-13 when Embiid is in the lineup.
