The Philadelphia 76ers are at the top of Eastern Conference with a 16-7 record, and Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons have led the way for the Sixers so far this season.
As it turns out, however, not everybody believes Simmons is playing good basketball. With that said, Embiid took his thoughts to Twitter to back up his point guard guard against the slander.

Well I guess you didn’t watch the game yesterday. His value goes beyond the stats. And Tobias has been dominating and consistent all season and the team is the #1 seed in the east

Ben Simmons is in the Top-10 of voting for Eastern Conference guards, but some people think he's undeserving of the honor. The Sixers star is having a terrific year with averages of 13.4 points, 8.1 rebounds, and 8.0 assists as Philly has been the best team in the East.

Doc Rivers has helped turn the Sixers into legitimate contenders, and Embiid is also playing at a high level and should be in the running for MVP at the end of the season. The Cameroonian center currently sits third among frontcourt players in the East, behind Giannis Antetokounmpo and Kevin Durant–who holds the most votes of any player in the NBA.
The Sixers are certainly the early favorites to come out of the East even after the addition of James Harden to the Brooklyn Nets, and Embiid won't tolerate the bashing of his talented point guard as they look to keep up the pace for the rest of the season.
