Philadelphia 76ers newcomer Josh Richardson is the shortest member of the team's projected starting lineup next season, but he doesn't mind. Joining Richardson in the Sixers' first five are Joel Embiid, Ben Simmons, Tobias Harris, and Al Horford. All of those guys are at least 6'9 in height.

Josh is 6'7.

But Richardson isn't worried, even though he knows that he's expected to defend the opposing teams' best players on the perimeter. In an interview with Yahoo Sports' Serena Winters, the incoming fifth-year guard said that he's looking forward to being the shortest member of the Sixers' starting lineup, as well as the challenges that come along with it.

“I have never been that, ever in my life. It will be interesting looking up to my teammates, talking in huddles and stuff.”

“I know that I'll be the shortest starter here and I don't mind guarding all of the guys that like to get in the paint and use their speed a lot.”

Richardson, acquired by the Sixers in a trade with the Miami Heat, averaged 16.6 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 3.6 assists last season. He also shot 41 percent from the field, including 36 percent from beyond the arc. He will play an important role in Philadelphia's championship aspirations, as he's one of their best two-way players.

The Sixers have had their fair share of shortcomings as a contender, including that Game 7 loss at the hands of the eventual champions Toronto Raptors in the second round of last season's playoffs. But after losing Jimmy Butler, they made their team even better. And now, they feel that ‘The Process' is close to being complete.
