Since the start of the regular season last week, the trade chatter surrounding Philadelphia 76ers third-year big man Jahlil Okafor has mostly faded into the background.

However, Chris Haynes of ESPN is reporting that the Sixers are still looking for a suitable trade for the 21-year-old.

With the role of Jahlil Okafor further diminishing, his representatives and the Philadelphia 76ers are collaborating to find a suitable trade, league sources tell ESPN.

Okafor is currently sitting out of the rotation as head coach Brett Brown had stated on Friday that veteran big man Amir Johnson has solidified his role. This has further left him as an expendable part of the team given that he has no consistent playing time.

He has only taken the floor once this season against the Toronto Raptors where he recorded 10 points on 4-of-7 shooting with nine rebounds and two blocks in 22 minutes played. Okafor has proven to be a more than capable scorer throughout his brief NBA career and could strive in a new situation elsewhere in the league.

Okafor is in the third year of his three-year, $14.3 million rookie deal that includes a $6.3 million club option for the 2018-19 season and an $8.2 million qualifying offer for the 2019-20 campaign.
