Sixers guard Seth Curry is on pace for the best season of his career, especially from the three-point line. His averages are at career highs all across the board and it has earned him the most playing time of his career as well. While he still has a long way to go to be compared to his brother Steph Curry, he is hoping that he can accomplish a feat that his brother has accomplished (twice) in the past, including last year…Seth wants to win the NBA three-point contest.

As a career 44 percent three-point shooter, Seth certainly has earned the right to get there, especially this season. The Sixers guard sat down with Michael Scotto of HOOPSHYPE, and had this to say on the subject:

“I don’t have any individual goals for statistics. I want to be efficient and shoot the ball at a high clip. You (Scotto) brought up the three-point contest. I feel like I’ve got to add one of those to the mantel to be a part of the (Curry) family. Hopefully, I can get one of those before my career is over. Steph (Curry) already has two of them. If I get the invite, I’m going to go to as many as possible, so I can add one to the trophy case.”

Last year Steph became the first player in NBA history to win the three-point contest twice non-consecutively, and if Seth can win this year for the Sixers, it would be the first time brothers each won the contest and would be the first time brothers went back to back, as well. Stay tuned as we get closer to NBA All-Star Game weekend, as the names of the dunk, skills, and three-point contests will start to reveal themselves.
