Being the first overall pick in last June's draft, a lot of expectations were quickly placed on the young shoulders of Philadelphia 76ers guard Markelle Fultz. However, he has not been able to showcase his skills on the court, as he has missed all but five games for the Sixers this season after suffering a mysterious shoulder injury.
While the exact extent of the injury remains unclear, Kyle Neubeck of The Philly Voice recently made an appearance on 10 Before Tip and discussed the saga the Washington product is currently involved in.
He then shared that he thinks Fultz won't be returning to action this season, given the mental hurdles add to the fact that the point guard is shooting nowhere near where the Sixers want him to be at this point.

Fultz's future has been surrounded by a lot of uncertainty as not a lot of updates have been reported about his condition. The Sixers are also not sharing information about his activities in trying to get back into shape and play again this season. His shooting struggles have been a concerning issue for the team and their fans as well, as Fultz is finding it difficult to use a form where he will be efficient and comfortable with.
In the five games he has appeared in, Fultz averaged 6.0 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 1.8 assists in 19.0 minutes. After initially being thought of as an integral piece in the team's quest to become a contender in the coming years, Sixers fans may need to wait longer before seeing him play alongside their young core, and prove that he belongs at the highest level.
