Joel Embiid is an MVP candidate for a reason, and if the latest comments of his Philadelphia 76ers teammate Tyrese Maxey is any indication, he isn't done showing what he can do.
Speaking to reporters on Tuesday as they prepare for the playoffs, Maxey opened up about Embiid and his growth as a player and leader for the Sixers. The young guard then went on to say how bad the Cameroonian center wants to win and how focus he is, which are certainly bad news for the teams he'll be facing in the postseason.

No one can certainly question Joel Embiid's focus and winning mentality. At the face of challenges brought by various issues at the start of the 2021-22 campaign, he stepped up for the Sixers and put his best foot forward night in and night out.
His dominant year was capped off by the scoring title after he averaged 30.6 points per game. He is the first big man to become the scoring champion since Shaquille O'Neal over two decades ago. If that is not enough proof of how great he has been, we don't know what is.
As Tyrese Maxey said, Embiid's hunger for victory is showing, and that certainly bodes well for the Sixers' playoff and title aspirations.
