In an interview with SiriusXM NBA Radio, Maxey was asked if he thought the Sixers have the best team in the NBA and delivered a bold declaration on Embiid in his response.

Sixers guard Tyrese Maxey not only said that he feels the Sixers have the best team in the NBA, but he also said that Joel Embiid is the MVP. Maxey feels that the star big man is the best player in the world.

While that is a bold take, it's certainly not a far-fetched one by Maxey on Embiid. The star big man has routinely been taking aim at NBA records on a nightly basis and is statistically having one of his best seasons ever for the Sixers in a likely MVP campaign.

It's no surprise that Maxey thinks the Sixers have the best team in the NBA. In his mind, they have James Harden a former MVP, and Joel Embiid, the current MVP and best player in the world.
