The Philadelphia 76ers were regarded as one of the better NBA teams before they went out and acquired superstar guard James Harden. Thanks to the NBA MVP-level effort from star center Joel Embiid and strong complementary players like Tyrese Maxey and Tobias Harris, the Sixers have raced out of the gate as the Eastern Conference's third seed with a 35-23 record. In an interview with SiriusXM NBA Radio, Maxey was asked if he thought the Sixers have the best team in the NBA and delivered a bold declaration on Embiid in his response.
"We have the MVP on our team right now. He's, in my opinion, the best player in the world." @TyreseMaxey knows when you have a player like @JoelEmbiid, you always have a shot at a championship. pic.twitter.com/41HNrRJn0m

Sixers guard Tyrese Maxey not only said that he feels the Sixers have the best team in the NBA, but he also said that Joel Embiid is the MVP. Maxey feels that the star big man is the best player in the world.
Article Continues BelowWhile that is a bold take, it's certainly not a far-fetched one by Maxey on Embiid. The star big man has routinely been taking aim at NBA records on a nightly basis and is statistically having one of his best seasons ever for the Sixers in a likely MVP campaign.
It's no surprise that Maxey thinks the Sixers have the best team in the NBA. In his mind, they have James Harden a former MVP, and Joel Embiid, the current MVP and best player in the world.
