It looks like Phoenix Suns coach Monty Williams made a lasting impact on Denver Nuggets superstar Nikola Jokic during the NBA All-Star Game.
While there are a lot that can be taken away from the festive All-Star Game–highlighted by the NBA 75th Anniversary Team ceremony at halftime–Jokic saw his interaction with Williams as the highlight of his weekend.
The Nuggets superstar was simply in awe of Williams, whom he said “touched” him as a person and human being.

This is a man, a human being, he’s calm, you feel like you can talk to him about anything. He surprised me with that.”
Monty Williams is one of the kindest, calmest coach in the NBA. He is pure class, and all talks about him are of praises on how he handles his players and others in a personable way. Remember him visiting the Milwaukee Bucks' locker room to congratulate them after the NBA Finals–one that the Suns just lost? That is an absolutely great moment, showing what kind of man he is.
With that said, it is not surprising why he was able to make an incredible impression on Nikola Jokic. As Chris Paul said it in the same interview, it's hard to play for a different coach after Williams.
