Looking to repeat as Western Conference champions and win their first NBA title in franchise history, the Phoenix Suns won't have an easy road ahead of them. Chris Paul is now back at full strength and doing what he does best. Fresh off his 8-week layoff where he was recovering from a thumb injury, CP3 has picked up right where he left off as their All-NBA floor general.

Even in Paul's absence, Devin Booker, Mikal Bridges, and Deandre Ayton all led the way for Phoenix as they've managed to hold onto the one seed out West. Add to that the stellar play of Jae Crowder, JaVale McGee, Landry Shamet, and Cameron Payne, and the Suns are cooking with gas. They have to maintain this level of productivity all throughout the 2022 NBA playoffs if they want to win an NBA championship. This was a key area of concern for them last season as the Suns were within a mere two games of winning it all.

Then out of nowhere they lost their mojo and blew a 2-0 lead against the eventual NBA champion Milwaukee Bucks. If they're hoping for a better outcome this time around then they have to minimize their turnovers and not let up in the slightest. No matter who they go up against  during the playoffs, this will be vital to their success. As the most dominant two-way team this season, the Suns have proven themselves as legitimate title contenders.

As they aim to show the entire league that last year's run to the finals was no fluke, the pressure will also be on them to not fold under pressure for the second year in a row. For the Suns, the biggest roadblock they'll have to overcome this postseason is consistency. If they can maintain this level of selfless team play all throughout the 2022 NBA playoffs, then the sky's the limit for what they can accomplish.

Seeing Monty Williams, Paul, Booker, and the rest of this Suns squad hoist the Larry O'Brien Trophy would be amazing to see. Of course this will only be possible if they don't fizzle out and go cold with the game on the line. They've worked tirelessly to build on last season's success and it'd be an absolute shame for them not to capitalize and win it all this time around.

Plus seeing them bounce back from the major letdown they endured during the 2021 NBA Finals would be the ultimate feel good story of the 2021-22 NBA campaign. It'd also be a great way for them to cap off a historic title run. If the Suns want to change the narrative and shut up all the naysayers, then keeping their composure the rest of the way will be most crucial.
