The Phoenix Suns are looking to bring an old school feel to the NBA after drafting a legitimate big man in Arizona's Deandre Ayton.

Head coach Igor Kokoskov knows just what car he dealt for a the dealership, and he intends to run it as such.

“He’ll never be a power forward in this league,” Kokoskov said, according to Scott Bordow of The Arizona Republic. “He’s going to be one of the most dominant centers in this league, and that’s how we’re going to build him.”

While many teams have toyed with the idea of stretch-fives, but the Suns could use the same blueprint as the beginning of the century Los Angeles Lakers, pairing a phenom shooting guard in Devin Booker with a legitimate power man at center.

At a towering 7-foot-1 and 250 pounds, Ayton posted a convincing 20.1 points, 11.6 rebounds, and 1.9 blocks per game in his lone year at Arizona, making this homecoming a natural progression from his college venture.

The Suns have slowly added the right pieces to this puzzle, quickly securing a one-year, $15 million deal with Trevor Ariza that could further improve the team's all-around versatility.

Ayton possesses decent passing skills for his position, but make no mistake, this front office will expect him to gobble up double-doubles early and often as the next building piece of the franchise.
