Devin Booker knows how fortunate the Phoenix Suns are to end their weekend on a high. After grabbing the first seed in the West with a big win over the Utah Jazz on Friday, the Suns continue their rise to the top with another crucial win against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Sunday. But, the two-time All-Star knows that his club could've easily lost this last one against OKC if luck wasn't on their side.

The visiting Suns escaped the gritty Thunder squad with a narrow 123-120 win. Booker did end up leading the pack with 32 points but a few crucial errors down the stretch resulted in a rather shaky finish in Oklahoma City.

After the game, Booker admitted that it was ultimately luck that propelled their fourth straight win. According to Kellan Olson of AZ Sports, the 24-year-old referred to the Suns' up-and-down play as ‘the tale of the season' for Phoenix and added that it's not something great teams do.

Phoenix survived Sunday after almost succumbing to a late surge from the Thunder.

With under a minute to play and the Suns up by five, Booker was called for an offensive foul as well as a technical foul for disagreeing with the call which put the Thunder down by just four and possession of the ball. Lu Dort was then granted a foul while shooting a three but fortunately, the Suns challenge was successful and the call was overturned.

Phoenix won the subsequent jump ball with Booker almost turning the ball (and was nearly called for stepping out of bounds) over before ditching an emergency pass to ultimately seal the win for the Suns.
