The entire nation is mourning the recent passing of United States Senator John McCain. Phoenix Suns star Devin Booker has revealed how he, too, is one with the country by sending out a heartfelt tweet expressing his grief on the loss of one of America's most prominent political figures.
Today we lost an American hero and a legend here in Arizona. Thank you for everything and Rest In Peace, John McCain 🇺🇸

As described by Booker, John Sidney McCain III was a major player in the political landscape of the state of Arizona. The war veteran served as a congressman to the state's 1st District before he was later elected to represent the state in the Senate. He would serve a total of six terms as a senator and was famously the Republican nominee for the Presidency of the United States in the 2008 election. McCain lost said election to former President Barrack Obama.
The Suns also sent out their condolences to McCain's family along with a genuine message on how the organization feels about the late senator's contributions to the nation.

It was in July of this year that McCain was diagnosed with a brain tumor. On Aug. 24, his family announced their patriarch was going to discontinue treatment for his cancer. He passed the following day in the presence of his family at their home in Corneville, Arizona.
With his death, McCain leaves behind seven children and wife Cindy.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to Senator McCain's family and friends in these turbulent times.
