Phoenix Suns head coach Monty Williams believes Devin Booker showed against LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers that he is more than just a scorer.
Booker exploded for 30 points on 12-of-25 shooting from the field during Sunday's game. More than that, however, he was pivotal in holding off the Purple and Gold to just 111 points as they ran away with a 29-point win.
The 25-year-old guard had four steals throughout, helping the Suns slow down a Lakers squad led by a red-hot LeBron James.
Sure enough after the contest, Williams heaped praised on his superstar and shared how Booker is often underappreciated and underrated as a defender. The Suns tactician went on to claim that Book just proved he is one of the best two-way players in the NBA today.

Devin Booker is often typecasted as an offense-only player given his ability to put the ball in the bucket. Who could forget him dropping 70 points in a single game against the Boston Celtics back in 2017?
However, as Monty Williams highlighted, Booker has made huge strides on the defensive end as well. Prior to the game against LeBron James and the Lakers, he's actually averaging 1.2 steals per game.
Booker is already considered an elite scorer. Add elite defense to his arsenal? Sheesh, he'll become even deadlier.
