The Phoenix Suns lead their first-round series against the New Orleans Pelicans 3-2. They've kept it together with a lead heading into Game 6, even without Devin Booker. The star shooting guard suffered a hamstring injury in Game 2 and missed the last three games of the series.

Wednesday night, there was hope that Booker could potentially return for Game 6. However, it sounded like Game 7 was more likely.

With tip-off just a few hours away, is Devin Booker suiting up for the Suns?

Is Devin Booker playing vs Pelicans?

Right now, the answer is no. Booker is listed as out for Game 6, as reported by NBC Sports EDGE Basketball.

Of course, no Suns fan wants to hear this heading into a potentially series-sealing Game 6. However, it isn't the end of the world. Based on Woj's update on Wednesday, this game-day designation was to be expected. The Suns still have until game time to change Booker's availability.

Tip-off in Phoenix is set for 7:30 p.m. EST. Booker's presence on the court would be a huge boost for the Suns to close out the series. He averaged 26.8 points, 4.8 assists, and 5.0 rebounds in the regular season. And, during his short postseason action, Booker was putting up similar numbers.

However, the Suns have a great opportunity to win even if Booker is stuck courtside Thursday night. Chris Paul, Deandre Jordan, and Mikal Bridges have stepped up tremendously as leaders amid Booker's absence. And, second-year guard Cameron Johnson has done a great job filling in the starting lineup vacancy.
