The Phoenix Suns have made a concerted effort to grow through its youth after picking No. 4 in the NBA Draft through the last couple of years, acquiring key pieces to their future equation.

Head coach Earl Watson showed the team's cards when he decided to make second-year shooting guard Devin Booker the starter over veteran Brandon Knight, move which was validated throughout the season, and even more so at the end of it, when Booker set ablaze the TD Garden, raining down a scorching 70 points against an Avery-Bradley-less Boston Celtics.

But the Suns have done more than just plug-in their young cogs, also seeking to trade their veterans like Tyson Chandler and Jared Dudley, according to ESPN's Zach Lowe — two experienced players who have helped the likes of Booker, Marquese Chriss, Dragan Bender, and Alan Williams grow within their roles in the team.

“The Suns will surely listen if and when suitors call for Eric Bledsoe. They've explored the possibility of moving off Jared Dudley and Tyson Chandler, sources say, though they likely feel no urgency to dump them; Phoenix remains just under the salary floor.”

Phoenix is slated as the seventh-worst team in the league, according to Lowe's preseason rankings, and they could sink even lower if Dudley and Chandler, or even Bledsoe is moved at some point this season.

Despite the growth from the young core and Booker's clear sign of leadership through example — the Suns are far from a finished product and will need experienced quality vets to guide them through a long 82-game season — making this quite the dubious decision if they choose to go through with it.
