The Phoenix Suns are headed to the Western Conference Semifinals. They closed out their first-round series against the New Orleans Pelicans in Game 6 Thursday night.
However, the Game 6 win and return of Devin Booker didn't come without consequence. The NBA fined the Suns $25,000 for violating league injury reporting rules.

According to the statement, “The team failed to disclose guard Devin Booker's participation status in an accurate and timely manner prior to Game 6.”
Booker was originally listed as out ahead of the matchup. Then, a little more than two hours before tip-off, news broke that he would be available to close out the series. His presence was certainly a momentum boost for Phoenix. However, the guard only put up 13 points, five rebounds, and three assists. These statistics are fractions of what he normally produces.
The guard missed the Suns' last three games due to a hamstring injury he suffered in Game 2 of the series. Fortunately, the star-studded team was able to pick up two wins amid Booker's absence. This allowed them to end the series with Booker Thursday night.
The NBA fine is just one of many roadblocks the Suns have overcome in their journey to the NBA Finals. Next, they will take on the Dallas Mavericks in the Western Conference Semifinals. The series begins with Game 1 Monday night in Phoenix.
