Tyson Chandler’s three-year tenure with the Phoenix Suns has not been fun. The Suns have been among the worst teams in the league since Chandler arrived in 2015, in part because the franchise finally started to adopt a full rebuilding mode.

As this season unfolds, it’s clear the the Suns’ rebuilding process is still a long way from over. While Devin Booker is already a star, the rest of the young players on the roster have still not lived up to all of their potential.
It’s fair to wonder why the Suns have still not decided to deal an aging veteran in Chandler, who clearly does not fit with their long-term plans and would be better off playing his last few years in the league in a more favorable situation.
Nevertheless, it’s a testament to Chandler’s character and professionalism that he continues to give it his all when he plays despite the fact that he finds himself in a difficult, losing situation with the Suns.
