Paul Millsap is expected to be one of the most sought after free agents this summer. His rare combination of being a good defender and a proven scorer will be a commodity a lot of teams won’t be able to resist, and will make them pitch to him to bring his talents to their fold.
There are already some who have been vocal in making it known that they interested in adding the Atlanta Hawks forward, and according to Brian Windhorst of ESPN on the Basketball Analogy Podcast, the Phoenix Suns are emerging as a serious suitor for his services and are willing to pay him the max on a shorter deal.

Windhorst also reported that the Denver Nuggets and Sacramento Kings are also planning to make an offer to Millsap. However, following the recent development that happened with the Houston Rockets, they might also join in the sweepstakes for the 6-foot-9 power forward, to add a third star to their already formidable backcourt of James Harden and Chris Paul.
Millsap has spent the last four seasons with the Hawks and is coming off his best season in the NBA, with career high averages of 18.1 points and 3.7 assists, to go along with 7.7 rebounds and 1.3 steals per game. He also led his team to another postseason appearance and is considered one of the best forwards in the league today.
It remains to be seen where he'll ultimately end up next season, but if there's one thing certain at this point, there won't have a shortage of teams wanting to sign him. His potential addition to a contender could boost their chances of winning even more, or speed up a team's rebuilding process, should he decide to play for a non-playoff team instead.
