The Portland Trail Blazers’ Damian Lillard often gets lost in the discussion of best point guards in the NBA. With the likes of Stephen Curry, Russell Westbrook, Chris Paul, John Wall, Kyrie Irving, and Isaiah Thomas all playing at an incredibly high level, it’s understandable if Lillard doesn’t quite crack the top five at his position in most people's opinion.
A fan recently pointed this out to Lillard on Twitter, but the Blazers star didn’t feel like debating the subject.

That debate means nothin to me. https://t.co/bXQE2gPbZG

While it’s likely true that Damian Lillard isn’t among the five best point guards in the league, he’s clearly in the Top 10. He set a new career-high with 27 points per game last season, which was tied for sixth in the league, and shot 44 percent. That’s the fourth-straight year he’s increased his scoring average from the year before.
Lillard’s case as one of the top point guards isn’t helped by his lack of even a single All-Star selection, much less an All-NBA nod. However, he’s certainly played at an All-Star level for most of his NBA career to date.
And while Lillard can’t claim that he’s one of the best point guards in the NBA at the moment, Dame D.O.L.L.A. can at least have a definite claim to being the best rapper in the NBA, a title which is Lance Stephenson-approved.
