Portland Trail Blazers small forward Carmelo Anthony confirmed that Wednesday's players' meeting got heated since not everyone was on the same page.

Some players wanted to leave the Walt Disney campus in the wake of the Jacob Blake shooting, while others wanted to stay and finish the 2020 playoffs.

The Los Angeles Lakers and Los Angeles Clippers reportedly walked out of the room after stating their intentions. The two L.A. teams supposedly didn't want to finish the postseason initially.

Anthony, whose Blazers are down 3-1 to the Lakers in the first round of the 2020 playoffs, is ultimately proud of the way everyone came together to make a joint decision.

“Look, we got together, we had conversations, we had dialog. We had very open and honest dialog with all the guys that was here,” Carmelo Anthony said about the meeting, via Blazers.com.

“Now was everybody on the same page? No, everybody has they own opinions, everybody has they own feelings and they own things that they stand on and they believe in. But for the sake of this NBA and our players and our union, we decided as a unit to come back and play. Again, we all have our different opinions, our different takes on it, but I think overall, we’re doing it for the greater good of what we have and what we started and what we’ve accomplished and just being able to continue to use our platform and to speak out and bring awareness of a lot of the different issues that’s happening out there in our community. Also along those lines, nobody knows what’s going to happen after this.”

The Blazers vet did note that players eventually “came to an agreement” despite the tensions surrounding the meeting. The games will resume on Saturday after the three-day boycott from the players.

Carmelo Anthony and the Blazers may only have one game left in the 2019-20 season, though. Since Portland superstar point guard Damian Lillard is out for the rest of the Lakers series due to a knee injury, the prevailing thought is that the Blazers are going to lose Game 5 to LeBron James and Anthony Davis.

If that's the case, it's been a fun season for Anthony and Portland, who needed to win a play-in game at Disney World just to reach the postseason. It has been undoubtedly great to watch Anthony play basketball again after he was out of the NBA for more than a year.
