Portland Trail Blazers star guard Damian Lillard wasn't exactly pleased with the Las Vegas Raiders' defense against the Los Angeles Chargers, so much so that he flocked to Twitter to ask the important question.
As of this writing, the Raiders are down 24-17 against the Chargers. It's understandable for Damian Lillard to feel disappointed at his hometown team.
How is our defense this bad man

A fan saved Lillard's tweet, hoping to use it against him in the future, but Damian Lillard isn't bothered one bit.
Write it down… take a picture … idgaffffff https://t.co/VJGtXq0oCd

But the funny thing is, Damian Lillard seems to be part of the Raiders' audible sets. Peep the clip below and listen closely to Derek Carr call out an audible.
So you’re telling us “Damian Lillard” ISN’T a hail mary pass, @Raiders? pic.twitter.com/XxpGhZUga7

Like those tuned in to the game, Damian Lillard clearly heard his name.
Ok … @raiders … I heard that

A fan pointed this out and instead of letting out a strong reaction, Damian Lillard said:
They know im watching. 20 yard gain 🤷🏽♂️ https://t.co/S0buVFMxeg

Like most NBA players, Damian Lillard is a fan of the NFL and is all out in his support for his home squad. He's not hating the Raiders for their performance, he simply wants them to succeed.
Besides, the NBA regular season will kick off in just a few days. Lillard won't have ample time to tune in to the Raiders games once the basketball games begin.
Lillard and the Trail Blazers are off to another quest for that elusive Larry O'Brien trophy. Last season, they made it to the postseason but got booted out in five games by the Los Angeles Lakers. It was highly expected since they placed eighth in the West. As such, the mission this season is put themselves in a better position to succeed.
The Blazers and Raiders are both teams which have hit their heads on a low ceiling, and are trying to gain leverage in the West of their respective leagues. Finding an extra edge is something both teams are searching for. Lillard has an intense interest in both clubs succeeding.
