Portland Trail Blazers star Damian Lillard has recently been linked with the New York Knicks, with the ‘Bockers reportedly looking for an opportunity to steal the superstar guard from Rip City. However, Jusuf Nurkic is not buying it.

After the rumor trended online, Nurkic made sure to mock the news and the claim that the Knicks are willing to part ways with three to four firs-round picks just to bring Dame Time to the Big Apple. The Bosnian Beast laughed at the idea and suggested that the Blazers will never trade Lillard for picks–no matter how valuable or how many they are.

For those not in the know, Marc Berman of the New York Post claimed that the Knicks will be “ready to pounce” should the Blazers make Damian Lillard available. Berman further noted that according to a league executive, the New York franchise would be willing to trade several first-rounders to get Lillard and create a core around him alongside RJ Barrett and rookie Obi Toppin.

On the other hand, Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports also wrote a piece, hinting of what seems to be an uncertain future for Dame with the Blazers

Lillard, for his part, has already responded to Haynes' report and shared his understanding that it was his job to write such stuff. However, Dame admitted he was bothered by the fact that people assumed he is tied to the story given he is good friends with Haynes when in fact, he has no knowledge of the report at all.

The 30-year-old guard has repeatedly emphasized his loyalty to Portland, even taking a shot at those players and franchises creating superteams to win it all. With that said, it's hard to see Dame going anywhere in his career.

For the Knicks faithful though, after seeing Jusuf Nurkic's response, they probably thought: “So there's a number.”
