The Free Dejan Bodiroga Movement — if there ever was one — has finally seen the desired result of its cause. That’s following the Sacramento Kings officially releasing Bodiroga, a Serbian basketball legend, whom the team drafted in 1995, back when Tupac was still alive and Kings rookie De’Aaron Fox is two years away from being born.
Keith Smith of RealGM.com was among the first ones to report it.
The Sacramento Kings have renounced the draft rights for Dejan Bodiroga. He's a free agent. He's 44 years old.

Bodiroga was the 51st overall selection of the 1995 NBA Draft but he never really liked the idea of coming over to the NBA, instead choosing to build his legendary image in Europe, where he won numerous championships and individual honors, including MVP awards in Spain and Greece.
At 44, Bodiroga will never be an NBA player and looking back, it’s unfortunate that the league never got a chance to see how he would’ve fared against the likes of Michael Jordan and Penny Hardaway. There are, however, rare chances during international play where Bodiroga was able to test his skills against NBA players. Take for example this sweet move he did against Carmelo Anthony in a match against Team USA sometime in the early 2000’s.
