The Sacramento Kings are heading into the 2018-19 NBA season looking to take a big step in the right direction in their rebuilding process. It has been a long time since the franchise has been viewed as a legitimate contender, but they appear to be on the road back to relevance. Vlade Divac and company have built a very talented roster that includes a healthy dose of youth. Today, the Kings made a small move, signing guard Brandon Austin to their training camp roster.
According to a report from James Ham of NBC Sports, Austin agreed to the training camp deal after playing with the Reno Bighorns last season.

During the 2017-18 season with the Bighorns, Austin had a solid all-around year. He averaged 9.1 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per game. Austin put those numbers up in 15 games.
More than likely, Austin will end up being waived at the end of training camp. If he does happen to make the roster, he will be a depth piece that won't see many minutes.
Sacramento has a lot of talent in the back-court with De'Aaron Fox, Buddy Hield, and Bogdan Bogdanovic leading the way. They have also put together a much better front-court than they have had in recent years. Marvin Bagley III, the Kings' 2018 second overall pick, is expected to be one of the focal points of their offense moving forward.
Dave Joerger has plenty of talent to work with. Austin will be fighting an uphill battle, but it will be intriguing to see what he can do during training camp and preseason action.
