Sacramento Kings point guard De'Aaron Fox has made headlines for his progress as second-year floor general, but when it comes to speed, the 20-year-old says there is “no debate” as to who holds the title of the fastest speed demon in the league.

Fox told Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports in his debut episode of his new podcast Posted Up that he's the fastest player in the NBA.

Fox: “People debate it all the time… the top three or four fastest players in the league.”

Haynes: “But you're up there.”

Fox: “Oh, no. I'm not up there, I'm No. 1.” “I'd be watching film, I'd be looking at my feet and be like ‘man, there's no way people think I'm not the fastest player.”

Haynes: “A guy people compare you to is John Wall…”

Fox: “I'm faster than him.”

Haynes: “Who else? Russell Westbrook?”

Fox: “Russell is extremely explosive, fast is another thing. He's fast… but if we're talking about from baseline to baseline with the ball on your hands, I'm definitely the fastest in the league. Those two for sure… (are in the running for fastest in the league) …Collin [Sexton] is fast… It's different, I got track speed.”

Dating back to the famous video game NBA 2K18, the second-year Kings guard had the highest speed attribute rating as a rookie in the league (97 rating), but is only third after Wall and Westbrook in this year's iteration of the game.

Surprisingly, all the aforementioned players in the interview crack the top-four in NBA 2K19, with Fox ranking a few notches behind the two All-Star veterans.
