Former Washington point guard Markelle Fultz is widely viewed upon as being the top choice in the 2017 NBA Draft that is just a couple of weeks away.

However, Fultz has become more open to other possible landing spots among the top few selections in the board. According to Ailene Voisin of the Sacramento Bee, he has scheduled an upcoming workout with the Sacramento Kings this weekend.

The Kings currently hold the fifth overall pick in this year's draft and also possess a strong need to bolster the point guard position. Although it may be a long-shot for them to land Fultz at their selection, it doesn't hurt for them to get a first-hand view of what he could offer on the court.

Futlz has only conducted a pre-draft workout for the Boston Celtics and held out a strong belief that he will be the top pick later this month.

He is coming off a highly productive freshman campaign that saw him average 23.2 points on 47.6 percent shooting from the field and 41.3 percent from 3-point range along with 5.9 assists and 5.7 rebounds. He became the first freshman since LaDrell Whitehead in the 1994-95 season to average at least 20.0 points, 5.0 assists, and 5.0 rebounds per game.

Fultz has plenty of potential to develop into a high-volume scorer at the next level and could be an impact player from the get-go, depending on where he lands.
