As Thursday’s 2018 NBA Draft nears, the front office phones of the Sacramento Kings, Atlanta Hawks, and the Memphis Grizzlies seem to be ringing nonstop akin to a celebrity telethon for a hurricane relief.

According to Adrian Wojnarowksi of ESPN, the aforementioned teams have been fielding several calls from parties interested in acquiring their draft picks via a trade (h/t Sagar Trika of Blazer’s Edge).

Woj: Sacramento at #2, Atlanta at #3, and Memphis at #4 are taking a bunch of calls from teams who want to trade up. Those teams include the Clippers and Nuggets.

The Phoenix Suns were not mentioned by Wojnarowski perhaps because the Suns have given off an unyielding vibe that they are not going to trade their rights to the top pick, generally expected to be Arizona Wildcats product Deandre Ayton.

As for the L.A. Clippers, they have reportedly contacted Sacramento, looking to swap their no. 12 and no. 13 picks for the Kings’ no. 2 pick. That offer has already been shot down by the Kings.

Meanwhile, the Nuggets have also dialed the number of Atlanta in an attempt to move forward Kenneth Faried in a package that could include their own no. 14 pick and possibly some more assets like Malik Beasley and Tyler Lydon, as previously reported.

It’s going to be interesting to see how all these trade chatter shakes out or if any of the rumored deals will push through.

The draft is set to occur at Barclays Center in Brooklyn this Thursday.
