During the first half of the game between the Sacramento Kings and Toronto Raptors on Sunday night, Rudy Gay was near the baseline when he saw a stray shoe on the floor. He quickly grabbed it and threw to the stands.
It was a good gesture from him not to leave it there so no one will step on it. The only problem was, it went straight to a fan and hit him on his head.

It can be clearly seen that he did not target the man as he just threw it right away and tried to get in position for a rebound immediately. It was just unfortunate that it went straight to the direction of the fan sitting nearby.
Only two weeks ago, Indiana Pacers forward Paul George kicked the ball into the stands out of frustration and hit a woman in the face, which resulted in his ejection. That was not the case for Gay as it appeared like an innocent move on his part, and hopefully, no fine or suspension will be slapped against him.
