San Antonio Spurs forward LaMarcus Aldridge was feeling like Santa Claus on Friday, gifting over 200 students from the Boys & Girls Club in San Antonio with iPads, as posted by the Spurs Twitter account.
All the feels. ❤️
LA gifted 243 iPads to kids from the @bgcsanantonio at today's Back-to-School Bash, along with school supplies from @HEB.

Free agency has been the talk of the off-season. Likewise, players are dropping out of their respective national squads in this year's FIBA World Cup tournament. Thus, it's always refreshing to see something like this once in a while.
H.E.B. already provided the kids with some school supplies, but LMA wanted to kick it up a notch. Sure, merely showing up would have sufficed and made the children's day already. However, Aldridge raised the bar and each gave them a gift that they will remember forever.
Article Continues BelowIt's safe to assume that Aldridge has made himself feel at home in San Antonio since he joined the team in 2015. It's clear that Aldridge enjoys giving back to the community as much as he can.
Aldridge currently still has $50-million left on his deal that runs through this season and next season. So, all those iPads may just be loose change for the 7-time All-Star.
Players giving back to their respective communities is nothing new in the NBA. Recently, Aldridge's former teammate with the Portland Trail Blazers, Damian Lillard, randomly bought children shopping at an Adidas store five pairs of shoes each. Of course, arguably the greatest among all the “give backs” is LeBron James' I Promise School, which opened last season.
Nevertheless, no matter how big or small the act, their impact on these children is immeasurable.
