The last two games have not been kind to the San Antonio Spurs. They lost by 39 points to the Minnesota Timberwolves on Wednesday and by 31 to the Houston Rockets on Friday. Head coach Gregg Popovich shouldered the blame for the two blowout losses, but Spurs big man LaMarcus Aldridge wouldn't let his Hall of Fame coach take the full blame.

“It's on everyone,” LaMarcus Aldridge told reporters postgame. “It's a team sport. We all have to try to be better, do better and figure it out.”

The Spurs are 10-12 on the season. This is the first year in a long, long time that Gregg Popovich doesn't have Tim Duncan, Tony Parker or Manu Ginobili on the roster. Factor in that All-Star small forward Kawhi Leonard is gone as well, and it's not a surprise the Spurs are struggling.

There's talent on this roster. DeMar DeRozan and Aldridge are All-Stars. Rudy Gay can score in bunches. Patty Mills is one of the better shooters from beyond the arc. However, there's just not enough consistent high-level play being shown night in and night out.

San Antonio is averaging 108.5 points per game, which is only 20th in the NBA. They are also 21st when it comes to points allowed, giving up 112.0 per contest.

The Spurs vow to turn things around and stick together during this rough patch. We'll see if they can get back in the win column on Sunday when they host the Portland Trail Blazers.
