HBO is going to start a show that features the Los Angeles Lakers. Robin Lopez thinks that Gregg Popovich of the San Antonio Spurs should have his own show instead,
“This is cool, but the NBA show we need is “Up Late with Gregg Popovich” where he capriciously & tersely grills random celebrities. Maybe Tim Duncan can be his Andy Richter? Late Night Ratings Gold.”
Lopez has always been one for jokes but he does make a valid point that watching the Spurs longtime coach would be hilarious.

Coach Popovich is known for his interesting antics whether it be on the court or off the court. He's a very serious guy and that's how he has run the Spurs Organization for the last twenty-plus years. Players always say that he is a pleasure to play with because of his knowledge on the court but that he is somebody who is tough to play for due to his demanding production.
If anybody on the Spurs is not playing the way that coach Popovich wants them to play, they will not be playing much longer. He expects perfection and if players do not play to that capability, he does not want them around.
Lopez brings up a good point because it is interesting to think about what goes through Popovich's head while he is not on the court. He has always been a serious guy but it would be funny to see him off the court versus what he does on the court.
