San Antonio Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich has been ejected early in the third quarter of the team's home game against the Sacramento Kings.

Popovich was absolutely livid after a specific play in which the ball went out of bounds in favor of the Kings. The veteran head coach believes the ball should've gone to the Spurs, and he had to be restrained to avoid a possible suspension.

This was the play that infuriated Pop.

The Spurs lost the game 113-106.

Gregg Popovich is usually calm, but he can obviously go ballistic especially when provoked and when he believes officials aren't doing their jobs right.

Although the Spurs have already clinched a playoff spot, they are gunning for a better position in the standings. They are currently tied with the Oklahoma City Thunder for the seventh seed in the Western Conference. San Antonio will definitely want to avoid the top seeded Golden State Warriors in the first round of the postseason.

The Spurs are currently 44-33, and with five games left, they can still mathematically end up in the fifth or fourth spot. However, in order to do so, they need to sweep their last five games and pray that the rest of the teams at the top of the standings will at least have a losing record in the final weeks of the season.

If the playoffs started today, the Spurs will be facing the second best team in the West, the Denver Nuggets.
